We believe the mountains should not be a privilege. Our scholarship program opens the door for women who have the drive but not the means to join a LUX Life expedition.
Our mission
The mountains belong to those willing to climb them.
Every year, women reach out to us who dream of ski touring in Patagonia or climbing in Oaxaca but cannot swing the cost. The LUX Life Scholarship was founded to send them anyway · fully supported, fully welcomed, and fully equipped.
Funded by a portion of every full-price booking · plus the generosity of our alumnae community · the program has sent 14 women into the backcountry since 2022. We aim to fund six scholarships each season.
We prioritize first-time backcountry travelers, women from underrepresented outdoor communities, and anyone for whom the price of a week in the mountains would be a genuine barrier.

Tell us about your backcountry experience, your goals, and why a LUX Life week would be transformational for you. Applications open twice a year.
Conversation with our team
Shortlisted applicants meet with Alenka and a senior guide. We look for grit, humility, and a genuine desire to grow · not just ski ability.
Award and placement
Scholarships cover a portion of the retreat cost and gear loan. We match you to the trip that best fits your level and your ambition.
