An 8-day ski touring expedition in one of Norway's most remote fishing villages · NUVSVÅG · FINNMARK, NORWAY · home to fewer than 100 people. Six women, IFMGA guides, daily ski touring from the sea, and sauna recovery under the midnight sun. This is not a trip for beginners.

The Itinerary
Day by day
Arrival in Alta
Fly into Alta, Norway. Transfer to Nuvsvåg (about 2 hours) and settle in. Welcome dinner with the group and opening ceremony.
Orientation & First Tour
Gear check and route briefing with your guides; first ski tour onto easier terrain to get everyone moving together. Yoga in the evening.
Fjord-to-Summit Touring
Daily guided ski touring through the fjords to summit terrain, routes chosen day-to-day on conditions. Packed lunch in the mountains.
Glacier Valleys
Skinning up remote glacier valleys and summiting Arctic peaks. Sauna and chef-prepared dinner back at the lodge.
Sea & Snow
Sail past calving glaciers, with possible puffin and sea eagle sightings. Fear management workshop in the evening.
Northern Lights Tour
A longer objective with a chance of northern lights sightings on the sail back. Stargazing on deck.
Sauna & Rest Day
Sunrise yoga flow on deck, sauna access and polar plunge, optional shorter tour. Group dinner and movie night.
Departure
Morning grounding yoga and breathwork, closing ceremony, goodbye breakfast, pack out and leave.

The Location
Nuvsvåg, Finnmark, Norway
Finnmark is one of the last relatively uncharted corners of ski touring territory in Europe, rare ground for guests who already know what they're looking for.
The Experience

For winter sports enthusiasts tired of the same old crowded slopes, our private ski adventure in Norway is remote and raw. Like any other LUX retreat, this trip is all-inclusive: we take care of everything: 3 meals a day, guides, the program, daily yoga, safety, and help with travel logistics. With our local guides, we take you to pristine slopes in some of the wildest locations on Earth. When you're done for the day, enjoy your après-ski, relax in the sauna and recap a good day over local cuisine.
